How We Handle Personal Information
This policy explains how Au Remedial Pty Ltd collects, holds, uses and discloses personal information when you visit our website, purchase products, contact us or otherwise interact with our business.
We aim to manage personal information in accordance with applicable Australian privacy laws, including the Australian Privacy Principles where they apply. Last updated: 19 July 2026.
Information Connected With Our Products and Services
The kinds of personal information we may collect and hold include:
Direct, Automatic and Third-Party Collection
We collect information directly from you when you create an account, place an order, pay by phone, contact us, subscribe to communications, submit a review or visit our Southport location.
Some information is collected automatically through website logs, cookies, analytics services and advertising technologies. We may also receive information from payment providers, delivery carriers, ecommerce service providers, public business directories, referrals and business-information providers.
If you provide personal information about another person, you must be authorised to provide it and should make them aware of this policy where appropriate.
Operating and Improving Au Remedial
Payment Providers Handle Card Details
Online payments may be processed through providers such as Eway, PayPal, Afterpay and Zip. Online card details are entered into the provider’s secure payment environment and are not stored by Au Remedial.
When you pay by phone, our staff enter the required payment details into the applicable payment system. We do not retain complete card details after the transaction has been processed, although transaction references and payment records may be retained.
More information is available on our Payment Security page.
Some Providers Operate Outside Australia
Some ecommerce, payment, cloud, email, analytics and advertising providers may store or process personal information outside Australia. Overseas locations are likely to include the United States and may include other countries in which those providers or their subcontractors operate.
Where Australian privacy law requires it, we take reasonable steps in relation to overseas disclosures. However, overseas providers may also be subject to the laws of the countries in which they operate.
Your Marketing Choices
We may send product news, offers or business communications where you have consented or where the communication is otherwise permitted by law. Business outreach may use relevant work contact information obtained from public sources or business-information providers.
Marketing communications will identify the sender and provide a way to unsubscribe. You may unsubscribe using the link or instructions in the message or by contacting us. We will action unsubscribe requests within the period required by law.
We may retain limited suppression information, such as an email address and opt-out status, so that we can continue to respect an unsubscribe request.
Protecting Information We Hold
We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards appropriate to the information and the services we use. These may include access controls, account security, secure connections, staff confidentiality requirements, backups and reputable service providers.
No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Please contact us promptly if you believe your account or personal information has been misused.
We retain personal information for as long as reasonably required for orders, support, warranties, tax and accounting obligations, fraud prevention, disputes and legal compliance. When information is no longer required, we take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify it where appropriate.
If a data breach occurs, we will assess and respond to it and, where legally required, notify affected individuals and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
Requesting Your Information
You may ask for access to personal information we hold about you or request that inaccurate, incomplete or outdated information be corrected. Submit your request through our Contact Us page and include enough information for us to identify the relevant records.
We may need to verify your identity before providing access or making a correction. We generally do not charge for making a request, although reasonable administrative costs may apply where permitted by law.
Access may be refused or limited where permitted by law. If that occurs, we will explain the reason and available complaint options unless we are legally prevented from doing so.
How to Raise a Privacy Concern
Contact us through the Contact Us page or call 1300 772 568. Clearly state that your enquiry is about privacy and provide details of the issue.
We will acknowledge and investigate the matter and aim to provide a response within a reasonable period, generally within 30 days.
If you are not satisfied with our response and the Privacy Act applies to the matter, you may contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
Purchases Should Be Made by an Adult
This website is intended for customers who can lawfully enter into a purchase. We do not knowingly seek detailed personal information directly from children. A parent or guardian should contact us if they believe a child has provided personal information without appropriate permission.
Fraud Screening and Payment Decisions
Payment, fraud-prevention, advertising and ecommerce providers may use automated systems in providing their services. For example, a payment provider may automatically approve, decline or refer a transaction for review using transaction, account, device or risk information.
Au Remedial does not ordinarily use a solely automated process to make a decision that significantly affects a customer’s legal rights or access to an essential service. We will update this policy if our practices materially change.
Keeping the Policy Current
We may update this policy when our business practices, service providers or legal obligations change. The current version will be published on this page with an updated revision date. Material changes will apply from the date they are published unless otherwise stated.
